My name is Tuomas Taanila, a guitarist, music teacher and music event organiser from Turku. I graduated as a classical guitar teacher from Metropolia University of Applied Sciences and have worked for many years as a music college teacher and as a freelance musician at concerts, parties and various other events.

Through the Kiuru Music and Performers service, I organise live music for weddings, parties, corporate events and other occasions. You can book professional musicians and various musical ensembles through me, from small gatherings to larger celebrations. I have extensive experience in planning and organising live music, and I’ll help you find the right repertoire, performers and atmosphere for your specific occasion.

I’m also the guitarist and a founding member of the Turku-based Aura Trio. Founded in 2009, the Aura Trio plays beautiful, atmospheric music, particularly for wedding ceremonies, celebrations and as background music. Our repertoire combines classical music, film scores, pop songs and Finnish melodies.

I have since set up my own guitar school in Turku, Kitarakoulu Stemmiks. At Stemmiks, I organise guitar lessons for children, young people and adults, as well as guitar orchestra workshops, which anyone can join without any prior musical experience. In the workshops, we play accessible arrangements and songs that everyone knows, together. The aim is to provide a sense of achievement and the joy of playing together, with a low barrier to entry.
