Meidän Duo is a string duo from Tampere with several years’ experience of performing at gigs and concerts across a range of genres. The duo consists of violinist Maria Turunen and cellist Eero Vahtola.

Meidän Duo performs at weddings and other festive occasions, as well as organising its own concerts. With a strong background in classical music, the duo also excels at entertaining performances of pop and rock music. Cellist Eero arranges a large part of the duo’s repertoire and is ready to arrange any song for the duo.

Meidän Duo has been praised for its spontaneity and intense approach to performance. Years of experience playing together are evident on stage in their unerring chemistry. The duo’s aim is to make a lasting impression on the audience and to surprise them with the possibilities and versatility of string music.

Our Duo is also a spin-off from the Tampere-based ILME string quartet, for whom performing and delighting people is at the heart of their work as musicians. This duo can be spotted in a wide variety of productions and ensembles across Finland.
